Obama signs order to export 'torture'
Commits American millions to support of abortion industry

President Obama today signed an executive order to repeal the Mexico City Policy that during President Bush's tenure protected Americans from being required to fund groups that promote and pay for abortions around the globe.

WND reported Obama plan to repeal what also is known as the "global gag rule."

The plan was originated by President Reagan in 1984. It prohibited non-governmental organizations that receive federal funds from providing or promoting abortions in other nations.

President Clinton rescinded the rule Jan. 22, 1993, calling it "excessively broad" and "unwarranted."

The anti-abortion conditions "have undermined efforts to promote safe and efficacious family planning programs in foreign nations," Clinton said.

But when President Bush took office in January 2001, he immediately issued an executive order reinstituting the pro-life policy.

"It is my conviction that taxpayer funds should not be used to pay for abortion or actively promote abortion," Bush said.

International Planned Parenthood Federation and other abortion groups refused to conform to the ban. They continued to provide and promote abortions and, consequently, were denied access to funding from U.S. taxpayers.

The Congressional Quarterly reported on Obama's first day in office, just before the 36th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, about the new president's repeal plans.

A Jan. 16 letter from 77 members of Congress posted by Life News urged Obama to continue the ban.

"[T]his policy is important because it establishes a bright line between family planning activities and abortion, therefore ensuring that United States family planning funds are not co-opted by groups who promote abortion as a method of family planning," the letter states. "Such activities would send a wrong message overseas that the United States promotes abortion."

Lawmakers, including Reps. Doug Lamborn, R-Colo., and Joe Pitts, R-Pa.., warned, "In these difficult economic times, the American people would not want us funding groups that are trying to export abortion around the world."

Douglas Johnson, legislative director of National Right to Life, told Life News that repeal of the Mexico City Policy would draw funding away from other organizations that provide international aid.

"One effect of Obama's anticipated order will be to divert many millions of dollars away from groups that do not promote abortion, and into the hands of those organizations that are most militant in promoting abortion as a population-control method," Johnson said. "So, a president who not long ago told the American people that he wanted to reduce the number of abortions, is already effectively promoting the increased use of abortion as a means of population control."

Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council told the Washington Post, "Yesterday, President Obama issued executive orders banning the torture of terrorists but today signed an order that exports the torture of unborn children around the world."

Perkins noted that Obama vowed at the debate with Republican candidate Sen. John McCain last fall at Rick Warren's Saddleback Church to find "common ground" on the issue of abortion and that he, as president, would work to "reduce the number of abortions."

"His action today flies in the face of that vow and probably sets a record as the most quickly broken campaign promise ever, leaving the question, how many more broken promises to families lie ahead?" Perkins told the Post.

Officials say removing the policy actually doesn't result in the U.S. spending tax funds on abortions, but it allows money to be handed over to groups that counsel and refer to abortions.

Obama also said during his campaign, "The first thing I'd do as president is sign the Freedom of Choice Act," a sweeping bill that would abolish pro-life regulations across the nation.

An organization, FightFOCA.com, already has been assembled to oppose the plan and already has collected 500,000 signatures in opposition.

According to Pastor Rick Scorborough of Vision America, more than 500 state, federal and local laws would be destroyed by the action.

"There are not enough words to convey the seriousness of this piece of legislation. Now is not the time to bury our heads in the sand and hope this will go away. It won't. If we don't do something about it, the basic fundamental right to be born will be taken from millions of unborn children, ironically, in the name of 'freedom,'" Scarborough wrote.

Among the laws that would be overturned are the Partial Birth Abortion Ban Act of 2003, the Hyde Amendment restricting taxpayer funding of abortions inside the United States, informed consent laws, waiting period laws, parental consent and notification laws, requirements that abortion businesses follow health regulations, a ban on non-physicians doing abortions and bans on abortions of babies who can survive outside the womb.

"In 2007, Barack Obama stood before the Planned Parenthood Action Fund and promised that the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) would be the first piece of legislation he would sign and in doing so it would 'transform this nation,'" Scarborough wrote.

Obama delayed his announcement until the day after the 26th anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade U.S. Supreme Court opinion that struck down state bans on abortion. The event was marked with marches and demonstrations in Washington.

Activists had invited Obama to address the March for Life rally, but instead he issued a statement expressing his support for abortion. The activists then challenged Obama actually to witness and abortion, so he would know what goes on.

March for Life officials said, "As a candidate, President-Elect Obama made two important campaign promises: first, that he will be president of all of the people, and also that he will make change. Then, as president of all the people, which includes preborn humans, he must educate himself about the evils over-flowing our American culture from Roe v. Wade.

"They are the evils of denying worth to a whole class of innocent preborn humans. They are the evils of denying protection of the unalienable right to life of preborn humans in existence at fertilization. They are the same evils which America suffered by having to put down slavery and the holocaust."

The campaign said Obama must learn that on his inauguration day alone an estimated 3,000 pregnant mothers were "brutalized physically and emotionally by surgical abortion, and 3,000 innocent preborn human boys and girls … killed intentionally."

The challenge states to be president "of all of the people":

  1. "He must watch the evil deed of a surgical abortion to know what it looks like to pull off the head, arms and legs of a preborn human – there is a commercial killing site within a few blocks of the White House.

  2. "He must learn about abortion evil by talking with suffering post-abortion mothers and fathers.

  3. "He must talk with an adult who survived the violations of abortion.

  4. "He must learn about the love and work of selfless pro-lifers who provide free services for pregnant mothers.

  5. "He must join with us volunteer March for Life defenders who stand up for change which overturns Roe vs. Wade because we cannot tolerate that our beloved country continues to participate in the intentional genocide of an estimated 50,000,000 innocent preborn human boys and girls since Roe v. Wade."

March for Life officials pulled no punches in their challenge.

The organization said in its statement, "President-Elect Obama must learn that no one owns the right to life of another human in existence at fertilization because we Americans are governed by self-evident truths 'that all Men are created equal ... endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life. ...'" (end of article)

So aside from proving how black his administraion is going to be, he's insuring no support from me no matter how elligible he is.

Obama adviser: White males need not apply
Robert Reich tells House panel stimulus package should emphasize 'social return' over worker skill

Obama economic adviser Robert Reich

A top economic adviser to President Obama has told a congressional panel the billions of dollars in the proposed economic stimulus plan should be allocated with social issues in mind, to make sure the money doesn't go to just "white male construction workers" or the highly skilled.

Robert Reich, who served as labor secretary under President Clinton, was speaking to the House Steering and Policy Committee Jan. 7 about funding infrastructure projects across the nation.

"It seems to me that infrastructure spending is a very important and good way of stimulating the economy. The challenge will be to do it quickly, to find projects that can be done that will have a high social return, that also can be done with the greatest speed possible," Reich said.

"I am concerned, as I'm sure many of you are, that these jobs not simply go to high skilled people who are already professionals or to white male construction workers," he said.

Reich's statements were highlighted in a video by NakedEmporerNews, which is embedded here:

The hearing took place two weeks before Obama was inaugurated.

"I have nothing against white male construction workers," Reich said. "I'm just saying there are a lot of other people who have needs as well.

"There are ways in which the money can be, criteria can be set so the money does go to others, the long term unemployed, minorities, women," he said.

Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., appeared to agree, suggesting federal money be directed to specific groups of people.

The federal government, he said, must "remove the discretion" about where the funds go, or what projects would be involved, even to the point of eliminating any input from governors or state legislatures.

Reich agreed: "Governors ought to be, should be given a choice of signing on the bottom line or not."

Then Rangel noted the "middle class" would be unlikely to create any opposition to funds directed to minorities.

"One thing that you can depend on, you don't have to be worried about what the middle class is going to do. Things are so bad, they have to put food on their tables, get clothes for their kids, get them in school," he said.

Commentator Michelle Malkin said Reich's statements expose "the lie that the Obama administration is actually interested in revitalizing basic infrastructure for the good of the economy."

"No, what Team Obama really wants is to ensure that the least skilled, least qualified workers get jobs based on their chromosomes and pigment," she said.

Malkin cited Reich's own blog, where the Obama adviser wrote of the economic stimulus plan: "I'd suggest that all contracts entered into with stimulus funds require contractors to provide at least 20 percent of jobs to the long-term unemployed and to people with incomes at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level."

This, Malkin wrote, is "spoken like a true-blue wealth redistributor. The 'needs' (read: demands) of politically protected minorities trump the need for competently build roads and bridges."

Reich's blog headline

On his blog, Reich makes his case for, "The Stimulus: How to Create Jobs Without Them All Going to Skilled Professionals and White Male Construction Workers."

"At least 2 percent of project funds should be allocated to such training

. In addition, advantage should be taken of buildings trades apprenticeships -- which must be fully available to women and minorities," he wrote.

Race already has become an issue several times in the Obama administration.

As WND reported, Democratic Party strategist Donna Brazile admitted she swiped Obama's complimentary blanket

from his inauguration ceremony and then joked it was not a criminal offense because, "We have a black president ... this was free."

Outrage also erupted over the inauguration benediction by Rev. Joseph Lowery, the 87-year-old civil rights pioneer, for asking God to help mankind work for a day when "white would embrace what is right."

Obama reacted to the benediction with a smile. (End of article)

Shy: Yah- that asshole reacted with a smile. He knows he's going to 'stuff it down our throats' and no one will do anything about it because it'll be 'racist'.

Ain't no way I'll ever pray that this asshole is successful as a president- if he ever becomes my president.

Google's gonna delete this post...

Today's one of those days my dandruff is really, really riled.

I'm fully expecting Google to delete this blog entry as they have a couple others where-in I ranted against voting for Mubarack Hussein Soterobama. It really pisses me off that even the web isn't free from censorship.

First, I have to apologise and ask forgiveness for my dander outbreak earlier today when I said something I really regret because it isn't how I think. But it turned out that way, so it sounds, even to me, that I must be thinking like this now.

I have to back up a bit...

Went to a gun show today. Held at an airport (international, at that) way back in the boonies. My expectations were pretty low. Expectations such as "I'll be the only one there," or "There'll be a few people showing up". How wrong I was! Getting there about noon, it was difficult to find a parking space within brief walking distance. Hundreds of cars filled the runway ramp. The hanger being used was filled with racks and tables of weaponry from knives to archery supplies. Not the least was guns. Thousands of guns. On the tables, in cases being carried, slung over shoulders, hanging on belts (and for sure some unseen on belts).

As I paid my $4 entry fee, I read a couple signs as I cleaned the steam from my specs. One sign clearly stated that "All guns entering premises must be unloaded and checked at counter". UGH.

"Does that include my personal carry?" I asked as the gent emblazoned my palm with the "paid entry" mark.

"I've been wondering about that," he told me. "But, I'm going to say 'no' since you're the only one to ask."

"Good," I told him, "cuz I wuz gonna ask for my fee back and leave."

He chuckled with me but the person behind me saw nothing funny about it. I went about my browsing.

On with the story.

I'd got into conversation with a few guys and some comment I don't recall was made about Tuesday. My reply was, "I don't care what that nigger says, he ain't my president."

Soon as I said it, hearing what I said, I realised how I'm thinking of the P.E. and was ashamed to be thinking like that. I hate prejudice toward skin color. Stupidity and ignorance are another matter. But to dislike someone because they 'look' different is unforgivable. And here I was showing stupidity.

My beef with the Dark Lord begins with his unwillingness to prove his eligibility for the office to which he was 'elected'. It also ends with that until he proves he is Constitutionally worthy. Until he proves he is qualified, he will not be my President, either. I don't care what the libs say, or the dems or my family or friends: it's what the Constitution says. Period. But there are many other aspects I am defiant with him about, as well, which I am going to get into.

The trouble is, thinking back on conversations with my Love, I've been showing the same prejudice. She knows me better than I know myself, but has not mentioned this. Perhaps she knows I don't think this way under 'normal' circumstances. And this critter heading for the Hallowed Halls is hardly 'normal'. Still, it's no excuse.

Now I'm rambling again. Sorry.

Let me begin with something that means as much to me as my Bible: the Constitution. No other document in human history has meant so much for so many. Not to so many, because too many either don't know or don't care about it. "Just words," as the Dark Lord would say. But they're words he wants to change, revamp to his idea of what they should be. Just like the fags who want to change the Bible to say what they want it to say. Typical liberal bullshit.

On the return home, I was half listening to the radio and the speaker mentioned this 'bite' by Soterobama as he was making his (ROFLMBO) 'historic' train ride: "He promised to bring the country "a new Declaration of Independence" -- free from small thinking, prejudice and bigotry." (The article is here: Train to Washington: Obama Makes Historic Journey Political News - FOXNews.com)

This isn't the first time I've heard him talk about changing the "out-dated and obsolete thinking in the Constitution". My blood boils each and every time some liberal MSM shithead talks about how the Constitution is a 'living' piece of paper and should be changed to meet today's world standards. That is bullshit so far as I'm concerned. It is an Iron Clad contract with the honest citizens of the United States of America and not available for change. Of course, it can be amended, as set forth in its own words. But it is not a document to be trifled with by a bunch of libs playing grab-ass in the shower.

It's common knowledge by any who are paying attention that the First Amendment is under attack with the "Fairness Doctrine" crap making the rounds of radio talk shows. People whose livelihood depend upon Freedom of Speech are making noise, know they could soon be out of work. Just as deplorable is the "political correct" speech. (I'll never be guilty of that, obviously.)

Churches are being told what they can 'preach' about. Gays and lesbians are insuring that. As are the abortion fanatics. (Two of the more well known and infamous groups.) Soon, if some politicians, Soterobama among them, have their way, we'll all be listening to every word our neighbors, or bystanders, say- just to report them to the Thought Police. Want verification? Check this: 'Hate crimes!' They're ba-ack! Of course, we all know that we can't always control what we say (egads! what am I saying?) , but when we have to worry about some knee-jerk lib running to the fuzz because we offended their pussy sensibilities, then we're in deep doodoo. The day may well come, if not already here, that the very words on this blog will land me in jail. Or you. Or your mother. Or Dad. Or your brother, or sister, or friend... you get the idea. I have no desire to go to jail, as I'm sure most don't, but it may be preferable to where they might send us 'criminals'. (Can you say "Gulag"?)

Coming from the worst offender of gun rights since the Brady Bunch formed, this statement should be a call to arms for any who hold the Constitution nearly 'holy' or who enjoy firearms ownership, shooting and Freedom: "I believe in common-sense gun safety laws, and I believe in the second amendment," Obama said at a news conference. "Lawful gun owners have nothing to fear. I said that throughout the campaign. I haven't indicated anything different during the transition. I think people can take me at my word." Well, Mr Soterobama, I am going to take you at your word. Since your first step into the political world, your word has been "eliminate gun ownership" . That's enough for me. Article here: Obama: Don't stock up on guns :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: 44: Barack Obama So far as my money goes, it's heading for the gunshops- who are doing a wonderful business since the Dark Lord's ascendancy to the throne.

Speaking of ascending to the throne, check this out: Hail King Obama: President for life .

Here we go with more tinkering with the Constitution! Crowning himself king of kings may not be his idea, but it's being forwarded by politicos who have one desire: control of our lives. Of course, it'd sure be wonderful for the liberals to have someone in office they can manipulate, whose buttons they can push to get him to do their bidding. And, yes, I believe he is that weak a man. (So, obviously, it isn't 'just' Soterobama I'm pist at, is it? LOL)

Seriously: do you like the idea of a 'king' ruling your life with whatever whim he rises with?

How about a one-world governing body, such as the United Nations? Want them in your bedroom? In your kitchen? Your shop? Job? Want your kids coming home and telling you (that) whatever you say is meaningless, has no bearing on anything they do or say? That they can do as they please? Guess what. IF the U.N. gets it's foot in our country, that's where we're headed. And worse.

We have a Kraut whose been involved with our country's politics since I was a kid making bold statements as he is. Just guess how many are going to 'understand' this to be the way things 'should' be? It's way beyond time we kicked out of this country any person whose spouts a belief that America should bow to world opinion and ideas. America has no need to be 'appreciated' by the rest of the world. We have no need to be 'accepted' by the world. Personally, I couldn't give a friggin fork what the rest of the world thinks of America. We aren't here to please them. It's bad enough we feed half the world while our own are starving. Screw them, far as I'm concerned.

Yah- it's a hard line, but so what? So long as this country has people hungry or naked or sick, then to hell with the rest of the world until we take care of them.

America is the most giving country on the planet. We give more to help hurricane or flood or earthquake or famine or plague or drought victims than any. Unless it's for those at home. So screw the rest of the world. Let's take care of our own first. I'm sick and tired of getting mail from Appalachia telling me how hungry the kids are, how naked they are, how they can't afford notebooks for school and every damn third world nation in Africa is getting schools built and supplied by Oooprah and the like. I'm sick and tired of getting mail from Feed the Children telling me how hungry the kids are in downtown L.A. because of some drugged up mother who can't afford to feed them (but can afford drugs!) and we're sending all our food to Russia and China and most of Europe. Screw them. Let Europe and China starve until we have our hungry people fed.

...meanwhile back at the gun show...

Our gun club's Revolver Guru was there and talked me into a date with a cute little platinum haired little cutie undercover cop. She has .38's and felt sweet in my hand, pointed in the right direction and wasn't all that much. Anyway, she came home with me and a case of ammo. Just in case. I call her my Undercover Angel. (Doesn't that song just ring in your ears? MMM, Undercover Angel, midnite fantasy...) A little stainless Charter Arms Police Undercover model. .38 caliber, six shot. Not much larger than my cell phone. A neat little ankle package. I'll letcha know how she handles tomorrow.

Bless God, God bless.

Bitter bitter C-O-L-D and Dogs

Dang, was 32 below at 0630 today and didn't rise above ten below all day.
Still, had to get some chores done: fill the woodbox, run the dogs, shiver.
Not that I actually shiver now at ten below- the body tends to get used to cold when you're out in it a lot. Seriously- the more time you spend in the elements, the more accustomed your body is to accepting them, reacts totally different than it does when you baby yourself.
So the dogs and I are panting and frosting the moustache with icicles and I'm watching their tails bob as they lope along. Gawd, those critters love to run! We're zipping past the shacks and I see a thread of smoke rising from one and the dogs are barking up a storm and I'm waiting for someone to come see what the ruckus is about.
No one shows. Oh, well- we met last spring when they began hauling in a trailer load of supplies so it isn't like they don't know who I am. Or the dogs.
But it's watching the dog's tails and their frosty breath-cloud and seeing my glasses fog up from my breath, and I start thinking again about getting some sled dogs.
Like I need another mouth to feed. Especially a dog. Or four. Four minimally for a team. Two dogs couldn't handle any real load on a sled or make having them worthwhile in a survival situation.
So four more it is. Now, what kind?
I don't want monster size critters that eat more than they weigh. Big dogs can do a lot of work, pull heavy loads and, for the most part, ain't too fast. Oh, they can be raced, but most racers have smaller dogs, about 70 pounds (but look like a hundred with all their fur). Long legged pups are out, too. Good for speed, but the longer the leg, the less power they can generate pulling. Don't want a really short legged dog, either. They won't have the lunge to get through much snow. So it's a medium sized dog with leg and body proportionate for me.
Can't really think of anything bad about having a team of dogs other than feeding them and the neighbors not liking the barking- and bark they do. Sled dogs are good for two things. Pulling sleds and making noise when they ain't. Sometimes even when they are.
Ever see a team of sled dogs? Those critters live to run, cannot wait to get into harness and just GO! To have a team for EOW wouldn't be bad: trips to town for whatever and hauling back groceries (if there are any available) or other goodies. Hauling in firewood from fairly distant locales (remember: we're talking EOW, not just a depression). Even or especially with running a trapline or fishing, or hauling the moonshine to customers, dogs could really be helpful.
I wonder if I can trade off these Russel Terrors and Golden for a couple sledders?
Hmmmm...
I sure hope my Lady don't read this post'r I'm dead meat..she likes these mutts!
They're forecasting another 40 below tonight and some windchill to fifty below. Dang- sled dogs are big and furry critters...furry? Foot warmers are furry, aren't they?

Bless God, God bless,

Shy
Ever see such a happy grin on a dog?
Addenda to earlier: News weatherman did a couple of demonstrations during show tonight. It's 26 below and he: drove a 16 penny nail through a 2x4 with a banana that had been frozen outside, and threw a pan of boiling water in the air to show how rapidly it froze: immediately. The water went into the air and became a cloud (the rest of his forecast was obscured by cloud).
Somewhere around 1990 I went out early one morning to start the truck to warm it before driving off. In my hand was a cup of fresh brewed coffee. I got in the truck, set the cup on the dash and immediately proceeded to crack the windshield like a spider web. Learned that lesson quick.

Don't turn the page!

Okie dokie, Folks- don't turn the page or run away- just doing some playing around. It's still the same old me.
I was playing with another blog and liked the look so much I decided to make them 'similar'- the other has a little different look. Hope you like whatcha see now. Content won't change- still the same old mindless rantings.

Picked up a new toy and just had to do some playing with it as well.

More to the point, I ain't much on little toys, but saw this and just had to get it for a BUG. Now to find an ankle holster (oh, yah- sure I will... why'd anyone wanna carry a gun on the hardest part of the body to reach?) for it.

What you're looking at is an Iver Johnson .22 long rifle pistol. Ten shots, Double Action/Single Action design, semi auto, of course. It's a .22 caliber, but it doesn't digest the 'standard velocity' ammo too well. The recoil spring is so strong they don't have the OOMPH to work the action, but it sure does like Stingers and MiniMags. MMMM, so do I! Stubby little barrel, for sure- about two inches long. In my hand the whole thing is concealed. Hmmm, I wonder...

As to accuracy. Well, we won't talk about that beyond CQC, but that's what it's for. Close quarters. I kept the grouping down to ten inches at 25 feet, so I reckon it's "good enuff for wut it's for". Maybe this summer, or even this winter if it warms up some, I can get the group a bit smaller cuz I won't be shivering and shaking. We'll see.

So Happy New Year/early birthday present (HA! I have a real gun in mind for that!), James.

Bless God, God bless.

Me Heart Ain't Here...

When I woke up this morning, this was on my mind.

It's only the first week of January but already I'm tired of winter. Longing for those days with paddle in hand, the feel of the water rolling beneath me. Of feeling the paddle stroke begin in my waist, travel up my back and through the shoulders, down the arm, ending in a silent dip of the blade into the sky blue water. Longing for the silent forward glide and the sound of the water sloughing past the banks.

Canoes have been part of my life forever. Paddles and moving water. Backpacks and tents. Sleeping bags and campfire's light and coffee night. Smoke getting in the eyes. Skeeters nibbling at the ears. Love them all. There is a freedom on the water that cannot be felt anywhere else.

Conceived and nurtured in water, we emerge to a world of air, become members of a foreign element to spend the remainder of our days trying to become one with the atmosphere. On the water, we are at the interface of our elements, at the juncture of our lives, at the point our two worlds meet. It is here I feel my best, feel at peace with myself and my world.

Wind creates waves and sometimes they can be huge, violent, dangerous. Yet they can be refreshing, exhilarating.

Clint and I jumped off at Moose Lake Landing on a cool August day. Clear sky, light breeze. In two hours we'd be at the portage to Ensign- 200 yards of easy walk with packs and canoe. Another two hours easy paddle and the portage to Mesabi would be at our feet and we'd finish it in the dark, set up camp not far from the portage. Dinner, maybe a little fishing by moonlight. Walleyes bite best at night, are dark water feeders.

Portage to Ensign behind, we did the short river run to Ensign proper and began our paddle. A light breeze at our backs encouraged us along, pushed the blades deeper and we sang- Clint had the absolutely best voice I've ever heard in a man- and enjoyed the day.

Then the wind came up.

Ensign flows east to west, is about six miles long, a mile or more wide, dotted with islands.

We'd maybe got a mile before we knew we were in for a stormy night. The westerly wind hit hard and sudden, lifting the water to troughs five and six feet deep from the wave crest, a few even deeper.

The Windsong would plummet bow first into the trough, suddenly rise as the pointed end hit the bottom, sweep us upward and we'd paddle furiously to reach the crest as the wave behind pushed us forward. Into the trough again we'd plunge and rise, the thin canoe a knife slicing the water and rising to cut again. Up. Down. Up. Down. A roller coaster ride, our bodies held between the thwarts of a thin piece of aluminum hull.

Wind blown spray wet our bodies, stung in our eyes, washed inside the canoe, wetted packs and feet.

I barely rescued my hat, blown off my head and caught as it whipped just to the end of arm's reach, to be stuffed under the seat beneath me.

Perhaps it was the kindred spirit, the lovers of Adventure, the primal man within us, the pure joy of living. Whatever, Clint and I both cried a "Hallelujah!" together and began to laugh. Lusty, bold laughter that comes from the release of pressures within, the loss of binding ties. Laughter from the depths, the purest form of sound that begins deep in the spirit and builds through every cell of the body, each releasing its joy and comes forth ringing in the ears.

Our paddles dipped fast and deep and we rose upon a wave. Higher. Higher.

And then we were upon it, sitting so perfectly balanced at the crest. Clint turned to look as I called his name, my arm outstretched, fingertips holding my paddle as it reached for the trough bottom. And stopped a foot short.

Above the wave, the wind was fierce, flinging white cap foam everywhere, soaking us more. From the cloudless sky it came, its whine added to the roar of the foaming water, louder than our voices of praise as we surfed the wave, perfect in its form, Clint at one side, I at the other, open air below us, the perfect belly of the Grumman lightly touching its element.

Miles passed beneath us as we were suddenly deposited on the sands at the east end of Ensign, the waves pushing until the pine forest stopped our progress.

We laughed as we stepped ashore, ear-to-ear grins as we eyed each other, dragging the canoe farther into the bush.

"Where's your life jacket?" I asked Clint, standing shirtless in the wind.

He grinned and laughed.

"The same place yours is- under the seat."

"Now we have to get back to the portage," he told me, pointing to the west and south.

Our escape had swept us three-quarters of a mile past our destination.

It would be great to say the paddle against those waves was easy, as much fun as the ride in, but it wasn't. It was hard work and we sweated under the spray, still with no life jackets on, and were several hours paddling to travel the short way. One stroke forward, two strokes back, as the expression is. Only it was reality then. Those waves made us pay in pain for the joy they'd given us, for the pleasure of our souls.

And that is what surviving is like.

Unimaginable in the purity of the joy of living. Painful in the work it can entail. Pleasure in just being 'able'. Not wearing a life jacket, but trusting in skill and One-ness with God in all His elements for He is in control and will bring us to fulfillment of His perfect Will. If we die in the process, so be it. Who are we to question the One Who is Perfect and has the Perfect Understanding?

I am only a man. So be it.

Praise God, rejoice in all things and walk in the Spirit. Be filled with love and hope and faith.

Bless God, God bless.

More Ugly Painting...

Oh, ISHKAPOOPOO...if things wasn't bad enuff, now we gotta go to even more worserer.

I mean, damn: if electing the Dark Lord wasn't bad enough, now we have to put up with his porno big mouth Frankenstein, too. (To really ice the cake in MN, there were some counties- mine included- that had more votes cast for Frankenstein than there were voters...now WTF?)

I really, really think I should move to another state. (Like there's one that ain't part and party to all the crap going on? HA- FAT chance! (No, he ain't just a Chinaman.)

One really has to wonder (I know: don't wonder too far or you'll get lost!) just what is going to happen within the next twelve months.

What with all the anti-American people Mubarak Hussein Soterobama is putting in power positions, with his record of non-votes, and the atrocious record he has when he does vote, we know he's got some shenanigans up his sleeve that no honest American citizen is going to appreciate. Hopefully none tolerate his crap, either.

And his 300 billion economic stimulus package: create three million jobs, 80% in government? You've got to be kidding. (See http://www.drudgereport.com/) Of course, we can rest assured those 600,000 'government jobs' he creates will be in his Ghetto Corps. (And to think some people have been wondering how the military or police force(s) are going to handle the vast numbers of dissenters to the new administration policies.)

One thing we can rest assured of: with Frankenstein in office, his ACORN Ghetto Army won't lack for filthy material to recite as they burn the Constitution and enter any home they want, do and take whatever they want. (Again, cf Drudge.)

One can only hope the GOP actually does a filibuster if Frankenstein is actually seated. Won't happen, we know, since all the GOP have less balls than Hillary and can't hold a candle to the courage of Sarah Palin.

Then there's Blagojevich's selection to replace Mubarack Hussein in the Senate causing an uproar and the laughable dems challenging the selection of another black man and threatening to filibuster his seating. (A really laughable aspect is that Harry Reid- oh boy!- wants to negotiate the Burris nomination with the Republican leader. Talk about crossing aisles to solve problems. Damn!) The last Do-Nothing Congress had the lowest rating of any Congress previous. The new one is going to be even more Do-Nothing. LOL- we're screwed, blued and tattooed, Folks. Hang onto your guns- and make damn sure they're loaded. (No, I ain't talking about hanging on cuz someone's gonna try taking them: but because you're going to be needing them.)

On another note- get the prepping into high gear. We should all have enough meds on hand for any situation we can handle. The food stocks can always be added to until the last minute, but don't wait til then to do it- there should be enough on hand by now to handle three to six months in your house. Since Mayberry has his fresh case of ammo on the way, we should all be well stocked with ammo for what we envision but it sure won't hurt to have a few more rounds laying around the pack. Get the heavy duty clothes and footgear worn in enough to be comfy on long walks. Gas up the vehicle and keep it full, baby, cuz we're going to need it at a moment's notice.

On a third note: no, contrary to what some may be thinking about me after the last post, I ain't seeryus about the concentration camps. However, I don't put it past the government(s) because I do read my Bible and it warns of such times. However, I'll get into that on another post.

Paranoid? Who? ME? never happen.

Well, maybe...

Keep your powder dry, Folks.

Bless God, God bless-
