Google's gonna delete this post...

Today's one of those days my dandruff is really, really riled.

I'm fully expecting Google to delete this blog entry as they have a couple others where-in I ranted against voting for Mubarack Hussein Soterobama. It really pisses me off that even the web isn't free from censorship.

First, I have to apologise and ask forgiveness for my dander outbreak earlier today when I said something I really regret because it isn't how I think. But it turned out that way, so it sounds, even to me, that I must be thinking like this now.

I have to back up a bit...

Went to a gun show today. Held at an airport (international, at that) way back in the boonies. My expectations were pretty low. Expectations such as "I'll be the only one there," or "There'll be a few people showing up". How wrong I was! Getting there about noon, it was difficult to find a parking space within brief walking distance. Hundreds of cars filled the runway ramp. The hanger being used was filled with racks and tables of weaponry from knives to archery supplies. Not the least was guns. Thousands of guns. On the tables, in cases being carried, slung over shoulders, hanging on belts (and for sure some unseen on belts).

As I paid my $4 entry fee, I read a couple signs as I cleaned the steam from my specs. One sign clearly stated that "All guns entering premises must be unloaded and checked at counter". UGH.

"Does that include my personal carry?" I asked as the gent emblazoned my palm with the "paid entry" mark.

"I've been wondering about that," he told me. "But, I'm going to say 'no' since you're the only one to ask."

"Good," I told him, "cuz I wuz gonna ask for my fee back and leave."

He chuckled with me but the person behind me saw nothing funny about it. I went about my browsing.

On with the story.

I'd got into conversation with a few guys and some comment I don't recall was made about Tuesday. My reply was, "I don't care what that nigger says, he ain't my president."

Soon as I said it, hearing what I said, I realised how I'm thinking of the P.E. and was ashamed to be thinking like that. I hate prejudice toward skin color. Stupidity and ignorance are another matter. But to dislike someone because they 'look' different is unforgivable. And here I was showing stupidity.

My beef with the Dark Lord begins with his unwillingness to prove his eligibility for the office to which he was 'elected'. It also ends with that until he proves he is Constitutionally worthy. Until he proves he is qualified, he will not be my President, either. I don't care what the libs say, or the dems or my family or friends: it's what the Constitution says. Period. But there are many other aspects I am defiant with him about, as well, which I am going to get into.

The trouble is, thinking back on conversations with my Love, I've been showing the same prejudice. She knows me better than I know myself, but has not mentioned this. Perhaps she knows I don't think this way under 'normal' circumstances. And this critter heading for the Hallowed Halls is hardly 'normal'. Still, it's no excuse.

Now I'm rambling again. Sorry.

Let me begin with something that means as much to me as my Bible: the Constitution. No other document in human history has meant so much for so many. Not to so many, because too many either don't know or don't care about it. "Just words," as the Dark Lord would say. But they're words he wants to change, revamp to his idea of what they should be. Just like the fags who want to change the Bible to say what they want it to say. Typical liberal bullshit.

On the return home, I was half listening to the radio and the speaker mentioned this 'bite' by Soterobama as he was making his (ROFLMBO) 'historic' train ride: "He promised to bring the country "a new Declaration of Independence" -- free from small thinking, prejudice and bigotry." (The article is here: Train to Washington: Obama Makes Historic Journey Political News - FOXNews.com)

This isn't the first time I've heard him talk about changing the "out-dated and obsolete thinking in the Constitution". My blood boils each and every time some liberal MSM shithead talks about how the Constitution is a 'living' piece of paper and should be changed to meet today's world standards. That is bullshit so far as I'm concerned. It is an Iron Clad contract with the honest citizens of the United States of America and not available for change. Of course, it can be amended, as set forth in its own words. But it is not a document to be trifled with by a bunch of libs playing grab-ass in the shower.

It's common knowledge by any who are paying attention that the First Amendment is under attack with the "Fairness Doctrine" crap making the rounds of radio talk shows. People whose livelihood depend upon Freedom of Speech are making noise, know they could soon be out of work. Just as deplorable is the "political correct" speech. (I'll never be guilty of that, obviously.)

Churches are being told what they can 'preach' about. Gays and lesbians are insuring that. As are the abortion fanatics. (Two of the more well known and infamous groups.) Soon, if some politicians, Soterobama among them, have their way, we'll all be listening to every word our neighbors, or bystanders, say- just to report them to the Thought Police. Want verification? Check this: 'Hate crimes!' They're ba-ack! Of course, we all know that we can't always control what we say (egads! what am I saying?) , but when we have to worry about some knee-jerk lib running to the fuzz because we offended their pussy sensibilities, then we're in deep doodoo. The day may well come, if not already here, that the very words on this blog will land me in jail. Or you. Or your mother. Or Dad. Or your brother, or sister, or friend... you get the idea. I have no desire to go to jail, as I'm sure most don't, but it may be preferable to where they might send us 'criminals'. (Can you say "Gulag"?)

Coming from the worst offender of gun rights since the Brady Bunch formed, this statement should be a call to arms for any who hold the Constitution nearly 'holy' or who enjoy firearms ownership, shooting and Freedom: "I believe in common-sense gun safety laws, and I believe in the second amendment," Obama said at a news conference. "Lawful gun owners have nothing to fear. I said that throughout the campaign. I haven't indicated anything different during the transition. I think people can take me at my word." Well, Mr Soterobama, I am going to take you at your word. Since your first step into the political world, your word has been "eliminate gun ownership" . That's enough for me. Article here: Obama: Don't stock up on guns :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: 44: Barack Obama So far as my money goes, it's heading for the gunshops- who are doing a wonderful business since the Dark Lord's ascendancy to the throne.

Speaking of ascending to the throne, check this out: Hail King Obama: President for life .

Here we go with more tinkering with the Constitution! Crowning himself king of kings may not be his idea, but it's being forwarded by politicos who have one desire: control of our lives. Of course, it'd sure be wonderful for the liberals to have someone in office they can manipulate, whose buttons they can push to get him to do their bidding. And, yes, I believe he is that weak a man. (So, obviously, it isn't 'just' Soterobama I'm pist at, is it? LOL)

Seriously: do you like the idea of a 'king' ruling your life with whatever whim he rises with?

How about a one-world governing body, such as the United Nations? Want them in your bedroom? In your kitchen? Your shop? Job? Want your kids coming home and telling you (that) whatever you say is meaningless, has no bearing on anything they do or say? That they can do as they please? Guess what. IF the U.N. gets it's foot in our country, that's where we're headed. And worse.

We have a Kraut whose been involved with our country's politics since I was a kid making bold statements as he is. Just guess how many are going to 'understand' this to be the way things 'should' be? It's way beyond time we kicked out of this country any person whose spouts a belief that America should bow to world opinion and ideas. America has no need to be 'appreciated' by the rest of the world. We have no need to be 'accepted' by the world. Personally, I couldn't give a friggin fork what the rest of the world thinks of America. We aren't here to please them. It's bad enough we feed half the world while our own are starving. Screw them, far as I'm concerned.

Yah- it's a hard line, but so what? So long as this country has people hungry or naked or sick, then to hell with the rest of the world until we take care of them.

America is the most giving country on the planet. We give more to help hurricane or flood or earthquake or famine or plague or drought victims than any. Unless it's for those at home. So screw the rest of the world. Let's take care of our own first. I'm sick and tired of getting mail from Appalachia telling me how hungry the kids are, how naked they are, how they can't afford notebooks for school and every damn third world nation in Africa is getting schools built and supplied by Oooprah and the like. I'm sick and tired of getting mail from Feed the Children telling me how hungry the kids are in downtown L.A. because of some drugged up mother who can't afford to feed them (but can afford drugs!) and we're sending all our food to Russia and China and most of Europe. Screw them. Let Europe and China starve until we have our hungry people fed.

...meanwhile back at the gun show...

Our gun club's Revolver Guru was there and talked me into a date with a cute little platinum haired little cutie undercover cop. She has .38's and felt sweet in my hand, pointed in the right direction and wasn't all that much. Anyway, she came home with me and a case of ammo. Just in case. I call her my Undercover Angel. (Doesn't that song just ring in your ears? MMM, Undercover Angel, midnite fantasy...) A little stainless Charter Arms Police Undercover model. .38 caliber, six shot. Not much larger than my cell phone. A neat little ankle package. I'll letcha know how she handles tomorrow.

Bless God, God bless.

More Ugly Painting...

Oh, ISHKAPOOPOO...if things wasn't bad enuff, now we gotta go to even more worserer.

I mean, damn: if electing the Dark Lord wasn't bad enough, now we have to put up with his porno big mouth Frankenstein, too. (To really ice the cake in MN, there were some counties- mine included- that had more votes cast for Frankenstein than there were voters...now WTF?)

I really, really think I should move to another state. (Like there's one that ain't part and party to all the crap going on? HA- FAT chance! (No, he ain't just a Chinaman.)

One really has to wonder (I know: don't wonder too far or you'll get lost!) just what is going to happen within the next twelve months.

What with all the anti-American people Mubarak Hussein Soterobama is putting in power positions, with his record of non-votes, and the atrocious record he has when he does vote, we know he's got some shenanigans up his sleeve that no honest American citizen is going to appreciate. Hopefully none tolerate his crap, either.

And his 300 billion economic stimulus package: create three million jobs, 80% in government? You've got to be kidding. (See http://www.drudgereport.com/) Of course, we can rest assured those 600,000 'government jobs' he creates will be in his Ghetto Corps. (And to think some people have been wondering how the military or police force(s) are going to handle the vast numbers of dissenters to the new administration policies.)

One thing we can rest assured of: with Frankenstein in office, his ACORN Ghetto Army won't lack for filthy material to recite as they burn the Constitution and enter any home they want, do and take whatever they want. (Again, cf Drudge.)

One can only hope the GOP actually does a filibuster if Frankenstein is actually seated. Won't happen, we know, since all the GOP have less balls than Hillary and can't hold a candle to the courage of Sarah Palin.

Then there's Blagojevich's selection to replace Mubarack Hussein in the Senate causing an uproar and the laughable dems challenging the selection of another black man and threatening to filibuster his seating. (A really laughable aspect is that Harry Reid- oh boy!- wants to negotiate the Burris nomination with the Republican leader. Talk about crossing aisles to solve problems. Damn!) The last Do-Nothing Congress had the lowest rating of any Congress previous. The new one is going to be even more Do-Nothing. LOL- we're screwed, blued and tattooed, Folks. Hang onto your guns- and make damn sure they're loaded. (No, I ain't talking about hanging on cuz someone's gonna try taking them: but because you're going to be needing them.)

On another note- get the prepping into high gear. We should all have enough meds on hand for any situation we can handle. The food stocks can always be added to until the last minute, but don't wait til then to do it- there should be enough on hand by now to handle three to six months in your house. Since Mayberry has his fresh case of ammo on the way, we should all be well stocked with ammo for what we envision but it sure won't hurt to have a few more rounds laying around the pack. Get the heavy duty clothes and footgear worn in enough to be comfy on long walks. Gas up the vehicle and keep it full, baby, cuz we're going to need it at a moment's notice.

On a third note: no, contrary to what some may be thinking about me after the last post, I ain't seeryus about the concentration camps. However, I don't put it past the government(s) because I do read my Bible and it warns of such times. However, I'll get into that on another post.

Paranoid? Who? ME? never happen.

Well, maybe...

Keep your powder dry, Folks.

Bless God, God bless-

Where Has She Gone?

So far as I'm concerned, the betrayal is so complete every person in the Congress and Senate should commit Seppuku.
Regardless of the gross number of phone calls, emails, personal contacts and prayers, the Senate and House have blatantly decried the wishes of their constituency and voted in the absolute worst bill they could have, short of totally negating the very Constitution they have sworn to uphold. These men and women have shown there truly is no honor remaining in the political world- from the President down, each and every one has shown their true colors, their total disdain for the populace who elected them, put their trust in them, hoped in them.
Today I truly felt there will not only be need for the 'survival preps', there will be a definite need for getting my mind 'right' in enabling "rule .308".
The 'time' is not 'appropriate' yet, but not far in the future. The time has come, nay- is well past, for the revolution I envisioned in 1976.
I love my country, can think of no place I've traveled the past 61 years that would be a better place to live. Always, regardless who was in office, I have honored the Man because of his position, even when I disagreed with it. From J. Kennedy to G.W. Bush, I have revered the office. From Walter Mondale to Norm Coleman, I have held their office in esteem. I have always believed in the Truth of the Constitution, of the tenets it exemplifies and for so many generations we Americans have endured, loved, fought and died for, have attempted to spread throughout the world.
No longer, no more.
Today, for the first time, I fully understand that I have been naive, have believed a dream, have mistakenly thought others, my leaders, felt the same about what I so dearly love. My tears are real, my heartache full as I listen to what my 'leaders' have so boldly done and so ballsily come forward on news to 'justify' their actions. How can anyone justify a wrong, justify a disobedience, for the sake of money? How can any who swears on their honor to uphold the Constitution so flagrantly disregard its tenets?
I have torn up my yard signs for McCain/Palin, for Norm Coleman. I will not support such scum as these, no more than I will support Saddam Hussein Obama...excuse me, Barack Hussein Obama. I have written Coleman and informed him of my intent to now pursue aiding his opponent and not voting for Coleman this November, not that I will vote for his opponent, yet I also will not vote for him. Nor will I vote for McCain no matter how much I believe Sarah Palin- not John McCain- for the lessor of two evils is still evil. Instead, I will write in Ron Paul and pray every person who would vote for McCain will write in Paul as well.
Not that it will make one iota of difference, but my heart will be appeased, my conscience clear, as I load the rifle and know I will soon be using it to defend my country on its own shores, my own back yard, against the very people who so lately have been my neighbors, my fellow countrymen, my loved Americans.
America, Bless God-
Shy
(As an aside: I've tried getting onto a few of the more 'radical' blogs tonight- to no avail. They will not load. Rather, I get an "error 404" page; one page began to load and stopped, the message coming "this page unavailable for viewing". Has it begun? Has our own government begun its campaign against its citizens? Has any other noted this 'phenomena'? [as in "it's my computer- being on "pony express" dial-up] Are we suddenly- after only the first day of attacks from our leaders- the new 'terrorists', the new 'un-Americans'? Has paranoia gotten to me after all these years, rotting my brain and causing me to think of quickly donning the tin hat? Or have I just gone crazy with the agony of the betrayal my own leaders have shown?)
[One more note, for those uncertain: 'Seppuku' is a ritual suicide performed when one has shown lack of honor, a disemboweling by one's own hands.]

HOORAH !!!

There are liberals and terrorists all over the world shaking their heads in dismay today due to the Supreme Court ruling in favor of American citizens defending themselves.

If there are two groups of people who are adamantly opposed to free ownership of firearms by "Mary Average" and "John Q. Public" in the United States, it's those who want to be attacked and have all their rights removed, and those who want to attack us gun-toting Americans.

It's about time the average, honest, hard working American was given a fair deal by the (normally) liberal Supreme Court. It happened today with the ruling that the Washington D.C. anti-self defense law concerning firearms, was unConstitutional. Now citizens of Washington D.C. can breathe a sigh of fresh air in knowing they have full right to protect themselves, their loved ones, their homes and neighbors. And do so legally.

Today, I am more proud than ever to be an American, contrary to how some people feel about being American. And more determined than ever to do what needs doing to insure Constitutional Freedom remains in the hands of Americans.

As relieved as I am about this ruling, I see problems arising within a few weeks and lasting about as long. There will be repercussions, of course- there always are.

Not only will the liberal anti-gun crowd and George Soros go ballistic faster than a 70 grain .270,
so will the press in it's "critical need" to eliminate firearms from American hands. Also, there will be some "random acts of violence" perpetrated upon decent citizens who are now "carrying". Some of these will result in ER calls, others in trips to mortuaries (hopefully more mortuary than ER for the criminals). Once the criminal element learns that people just aren't going to stand idly by for their bullshit any longer, things will level out, even drop in less than a year. Which should give the honest people enough time to eliminate most of the bad guys.

And to hell with "political correct", too. Call it like you see it and libs be damned. Now it's time to go back to the Supreme Court and get some of their 'rulings' straightened out, such as allowing terrorists access to civilian courts and Constitutional rights from the very country they attacked. Since when is it the Supreme Court's job to create laws or tell the government how to operate? Or did someone eliminate the House and Senate (not that most of their occupants shouldn't be eliminated) while I was on vacation last week? What part of the Constitution they swore to uphold gives them leave to tell the President what he has to do? (By the way, what part of the Constitution gives Congress authority to vote itself raises while still in office? ) And it's time some of the liberal environmentalist faction and lobbyists are brought to trial as well as other special interest minority groups. The Supreme Court has to wake itself up and understand that this country is not governed by minority, but majority rule and reverse some of its past "accomplishments".

It's time the U.S. Supreme Court decided to put God back in "In God we trust", not Mecca or Islam.

Thank God some in America are still awake and not lost in the daydream that liberals have a better idea.

True American Values

I find this to be very interesting. I recall the original news story and all the flack this man caught for his straight-forward, common-sense approach to Constitutional values toward criminal treatment. If nothing else, this man is worthy of respect as an honest and very practical lawman. My hat's off to Joe Arpaio. May many more follow his footsteps and quit coddling the criminal faction in this country.

Note on the script: it's printed here as I received it, unedited, errors and all. I included the SNOPES link at the end so these facts can be checked by the reader (there are a 'few' liberties taken in this email from my buddy in New England).

This is who I was telling you about at lunch last Friday. Cool law enforcer!
SHERIFF JOE IS AT IT AGAIN! (HE SHOULD RUN FOR PRESIDENT)
Oh, there's MUCH more to know about Sheriff Joe Arpaio: Maricopa County was spending approx. $18 million dollars a year on stray animals, like cats and dogs. Sheriff Joe offered to take the department over, and the County Supervisors said okay.
The animal shelters are now all staffed and operated by prisoners. They feed and care for the strays. Every animal in his care is taken out and walked twice daily. He now has prisoners who are experts in animal nutrition and behavior. They give great classes for anyone who'd like to adopt an animal. He has literally taken stray dogs off the street, given them to the care of prisoners, and had them place in dog shows. The best part? His budget for the entire department is now under $3 million.
Alesa and I adopted a Weimaraner from a Maricopa County shelter two years ago. He was neutered, and current on all shots, in great health, and even had a microchip inserted the day we got him. Cost to us: $78.
The prisoners get the benefit of about $0.28 an hour for working, but most would work for free, just to be out of their cells for the day. Most of his budget is for utilities, building maintenance, etc. He pays the prisoners out of the fees collected for adopted animals.
I have long wondered when the rest of the country would take an interest in the way he runs the jail system, and copy some of his ideas. He has a huge farm, donated to the county years ago, where inmates can work, and they grow most of their own fresh vegetables and food, doing all the work and harvesting by hand. He has a pretty good sized hog farm, which provides meat, and fertilizer. It fertilizes the Christmas tree nursery, where prisoners work, and you can buy a living Christmas tree for $6 - $8 for the Holidays, and plant it later. We have six trees in our yard from the Prison.
Yup, he was reelected last year with 83% of the vote. Now he's in trouble with the ACLU: again. He painted all his buses and vehicles with a mural, that has a special hotline phone number painted on it, where you can call and report suspected illegal aliens. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement wasn't doing enough in his eyes, so he had 40 deputies trained specifically for enforcing immigration laws, started up his hotline, and bought 4 new buses just for hauling folks back to the border. He's a "Git-R Dun" kind of Sheriff.
Update on Joe Arpaio:
TO THOSE OF YOU NOT FAMILIAR WITH JOE ARPAIO, HE IS THE MARICOPA ARIZONA COUNTY SHERIFF AND HE KEEPS GETTING ELECTED OVER AND OVER. THIS IS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY: Sheriff Joe Arpaio (Arizona) who created the"Tent City Jail". He has jail meals down to 40 cents a serving and charges the inmates for them. He stopped smoking and porno magazines in the jails. Took away their weights Cut off all but "G" movies. He started chain gangs so the inmates could do free work on county and city projects.
Then He Started Chain Gangs For Women So He Wouldn't Get Sued For Discrimination. He took away cable TV Until he found out there was A Federal Court Order that Required Cable TV For Jails. So He Hooked Up The Cable TV Again and Only Let In The Disney Channel And The Weather Channel. When asked why the weather channel He Replied, "So They Will Know How Hot It's Gonna Be While They Are Working ON My Chain Gangs." He Cut Off Coffee Since It Has Zero Nutritional Value. When the inmates complained, he told them, "This Isn't The Ritz/Carlton.....If You Don't Like It, Don't Come Back." He bought Newt Gingrich's lecture series on videotape that he pipes into the jails. When asked by a reporter if he had any lecture series by a Democrat, he replied that a democratic lecture series might explain why a lot of the inmates were in his jails in the first place.

More On The Arizona Sheriff:

With Temperatures Being Even Hotter Than Usual In Phoenix (116 Degrees Just Set A New Record) the Associated Press Reports: About 2,000 Inmates Living In A Barbed-Wire-Surrounded Tent Encampment At The Maricopa County Jail Have Been Given Permission To Strip Down To Their Government-Issued Pink Boxer Shorts. On Wednesday, hundreds of men wearing boxers were either curled up on their bunk beds or chatted in the tents, which reached 138 Degrees Inside The Week Before. Many Were Also Swathed In Wet, Pink Towels As Sweat Collected On Their Chests And Dripped Down To Their PINK SOCKS. "It Feels Like We Are In A Furnace," Said James Zanzot, An Inmate Who Has Lived In The TENTS for 1 year."It's Inhumane." Joe Arpaio, the tough-guy sheriff who created the tent city and long ago started making his prisoners wear pink, and eat bologna sandwiches, is not one bit sympathetic. He said Wednesday that he told all of the inmates: "It's 120 Degrees In Iraq And Our Soldiers Are Living In Tents Too, And They Have To Wear Full Battle Gear. But They Didn't Commit Any Crimes, So Shut Your Damned Mouths!"
Way To Go, Sheriff!
Maybe if all prisons were like this one there would be a lot less crime and/or repeat offenders.
Criminals should be punished for their crimes - not live in luxury until it's time for their parole, only to go out and commit another crime so they can get back in to live on taxpayers money and enjoy things taxpayers can't afford to have for themselves.
Sheriff Joe was just reelected Sheriff in Maricopa County, Arizona.

Gun Control

Got a good chuckle from a friend who viewed my BLOG a few days ago. Actually made a suggestion for a BLOG and I had to laugh at him.
"You've got to be kidding?" I asked.
"Not at all- serious as a heart attack. You gotta do it."
Thinking about it a while now, I imagine he's right: I do have to write about gun control, one of my favorite topics. So, with apologies to Mark Twain and Sam Clements, here goes. Oh, yes- and to whomever it was that wrote about Ransoming Red Chief, Mr O'Henry.
Liberal Democrats have long considered gun control a very major issue to their campaigns. Right alongside abortion and equal rights for all but whites. Of course, we all know who they hold as Exhibit Number One on their list of heroes: that Austrian with the funny Charlie Chaplin moustache who made an attempt at dominating the world. Some of you in reader land may recognize him as a German named Hitler. He took away the guns and nearly took over Germany, murdering about 12 million Jewish people on his way.
So, my answer to the Soros bunch, and others of his ilk, is a simple solution to the question of, "How do we get better gun control in the United States?" Perhaps not so simple, when I think about it: there will be some major costs involved. Naturally, rich as they are, these people can afford to help all us "lesser" individuals by footing the bill for the whole country.
To begin. Here you go, folks: a lesson on how to control guns in America.
Let us start with stature of the individual, since not ALL Americans are built the same. Some are tall, others short, a majority in-between. Too, some are 16-penny slim, others fat as walrus. Most are probably in-between. As well, some are fit as fiddles, others about as fit as cooked spaghetti. Again, many fall in-between. So proper gun control begins with the category of "Get a gun that suits your stature."
If you have big hands, something along the lines of a Colt 1911 full-size will be no problem for your grip. However, if you have weak arms, drop to a Colt 1911 Combat Commander size: it's smaller frame and lighter weight will aid your control. My suggestion is a caliber such as the century old .45 Colt ACP, or the more modern .357 or .44 magnum. A 9mm is okay if you like to fire off lots of rounds. If, like my Lady, your hands are a bit smaller than a man's, or if you're just effeminate, go for one of the smaller, light-weight 9 mm's on the market. They're kinda wimpy in firepower but make up for it in number of rounds you can expend at one sitting. Well, not a "sitting" per-se, but without having to reload. If you are kind of the squeamish type and feel handgun combat range is kinda too close for comfort, you can go the long-gun route. Beginning with a .22 long rifle (don't waste time with less), you can easily learn to handle this and extend the combat range a few feet. But if you really want to stop an altercation, nothing works better than a 12 gauge, best is the pump action for repeatability of firing, but my fave is a twin barrel: over/under. (Only because I like the looks and have a pump as well :) . Naturally, there are some out there who really want to control a situation and nip it in the bud. For those really gung-ho types, there is a true long-gun, a rifle with man-sized calibers such as .243, .6mm, 7mm, 308, 30-06, etc. With these babies, you can pick off an argument before it even becomes a thought.
Naturally, you'll want to insure yourself that YOU have proper gun control. To do this, get a set of grips (for pistols or revolvers) that fit your hand and aid in reducing recoil so follow-up shots are more easily accomplished. If you like, get the barrel ported so muzzle blast is used to help tame recoil on those big honking smokepoles. Don't worry about silencers or flash suppressors- the idea is to scare poop outta the critter if you miss with the first shot and lots of noise and light may well do that. For shotguns, have a good recoil pad installed on the butt or buy a shotgun that has an action that dampens felt recoil thru mechanical means. Rifles can be more well controlled through recoil pads and stock configurations. Naturally, smaller calibers will have less recoil than the big boys, but what the heck- we're men and we can handle recoil. Well, maybe: my rifles all have Uncle Mike's recoil pads. Come to think of it, so do the shotguns. Another method is to have the barrel ported on these if recoil or a follow-up shot are prime concerns. Not that I have problems with following up shots from the 30-06 with just the pad, but some may and these help. Also, a bipod on the working end of a rifle helps gun control, also.
Which brings us to the second part of good gun control legislation.
Once we all have a firearm that FITS us, thanks to the millions of dollars our enemies have, we need to learn better gun control. There is a simple solution to that, as well, but does require some effort. Since the Libs have lotsa money to spend on gun control, it won't matter, though, so we can all afford to have the absolutely best optical sights made put on our weapons. What's the best? You decide. Some people like Fords (I do) and others like Chevvies (I do) and some even like those cute little foreign imports (my Lady does). Get whichever you prefer. After all, it's the Libs and DNC who'll be paying for it.
Now that we have our weapons fitted and glassed up- oh: don't forget a couple VERY good flashlights to illuminate our night time targets- we can go to the range and get some major input on gun control.
Regardless what you get: .22, .380, 9mm, .44, .45, .357, .308, 30-06, .50BMG, you're going to need to learn PROPER gun control.
THAT begins between your ears.
First: NEVER assume a gun is empty (or loaded, for that matter); always check!
Second: NEVER point a gun at anything you don't intend to shoot. In other words, keep it pointed DOWNRANGE!
Third: (and maybe most important) keep your finger AWAY from the trigger until ready to shoot.
Fourth: there are ten commandments to gun safety, every one viable and important and more than the scope of this dissertation. To learn more, go to http://www.nra.org/ and take a safety class.
Now that we've covered the basics, understand that good gun control begins with knowing where that muzzle is pointed and that there is a bullet in the chamber. Now you need to learn that most important part of gun control: target acquisition and finger twitch.
Target acquisition isn't all that hard. For purposes of this demonstration, we're going to assume it's a paper target but we all know better: since Libs and DNC seem to think guns are only for killing people, that's what we are thinking as we sight. Don't believe me, just ask one. Oh, yes: also, killing poor little Bambi. Don't worry that more Bambi are killed by cars every year than hunters. I digress, 'scuse me. Back to targets. Two things concern us here: our target and what's behind it. We want to have a clear picture of what we are aiming at. If you can't identify it, forget finger twitch. Ditto if you have an unsafe backstop.
Triggers are not pulled back like a dentist pulling a tooth. Nor are they yanked back like a carpenter pulling a nail. They are squeezed ever so gently, like your baby girl's nose in play. And , like the bugger you pull away, should be a surprise when it goes off. When it does go BANG!, count "One". The second BANG count "Two", etc- so you know how many you've shot off. Keep track so needing to reload won't be a surprise. This is where REAL gun control begins: learning proper sighting and trigger control. If you can't see the target, you can't hit it. If you can't hit it, you missed and may as well not have shot. So lots and lots of practice is mandatory. Which we normally couldn't afford, but since the Dems are paying for the ammo, we can waste a couple here and there so long as we practice diligently and hit what we aim at.
And there we have it- a short discourse on gun control. Much of this is tongue in cheek, as you can see. But it's very serious as well.
Liberals and Democrats (usually one and the same) want world domination and the only way to accomplish that is as Hitler did in Germany. An unarmed populace will be easy prey and when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns. The honest citizen will be defenseless, as we are when liberal gun control laws are passed. Statistics prove that when firearm ownership is banned, crime against the people rises. Don't take my word for it: research it. And don't take a lib's word on it, either. Weigh the facts, then decide.
If less crime is wanted by the populace, enforce the laws already on the books: hang the murderers and rapists and child molesters; imprison the thieves and make them fulfill the entire sentence, no time-off for good behavior. No plea bargains, no insanity pleas- anyone who commits a crime or murders or molests another has to be insane anyway, so why allow it as a defense? And allow any honest law-abiding citizen who wants to to carry protection against the criminal element. Guns don't kill people- they protect them.
Naturally, everyone can find holes in arguments about guns taking lives or not, it just depends on your view. What about cars? How many people are killed by drunk drivers each year? Yet the drunks are on the streets, driving again- legally or otherwise. They should be in prison as far as I'm concerned before they kill again.
What about the abortionists? More children are killed yearly by "doctors" than all the criminals in the last hundred years. Of course, tell a Liberal or Democrat that they're killing their tax-base and they won't understand at all. But they are. All because some woman decided her appearance was more important than a life. No, don't use the rape-incest-medical reasons argument on me: it doesn't matter since the number is minuscule compared to those killed for appearance sake.
So if any Lib wants to tell me guns kill people and should be taken away, then let them create laws to eliminate all forms of killing. Of course, that would be a consistency and we know Libs and Dems can't be consistent in anything. Or honest.

July...

The first week of July is the unofficial opening of Minnesota deer hunting.

Normally, that opening is the first or second week of November during the rut. That is also the second busiest traffic week, the first being the fishing opener in May.

The July opener is for poachers, people who "steal" game away from the "honest" hunters, those who buy a license (I've had one every year since I was 16, though I don't always hunt) and follow the "rules of fair chase". I've also poached a couple. Not proud of it, but have done it and utilized the whole animal, even the bones as dog food. A hundred years earlier I'd probably have used the bones as needles, spoons, weapons, ornaments.

Times were "hard" back in the late 50's and early 60's. Work was hard to find and low paying and many looked upon "poaching" as a method of feeding themselves, their families. Too, since it involved illegal activity, some of us younger folks thought it was fun. Eluding the game warden (who lived two doors down the road), sometimes the neighbors' shotgun blast. Too, we didn't look at it as being "illegal" in the fullest sense because we ate the meat and rather than go hungry felt a little bending of the law was fine.

Of course, we were "kids", but so close to adulthood it didn't matter. "Kids" our age were dieing in Viet Nam and we would soon be taking our turns as well. What cared we of a little "practice" hunting so long as our families ate?

I think of this now as I lay in bed and hear a gunshot off in the distance, down by the snowmobile trail a half a mile or more away.

Times are becoming a repeat of the days of my youth with difficult times coming upon this one-show area. Almost a depression, some say. As I think back on those days, how we used everything, I hope these people will do the same, not taking only the "choice" cuts, but the whole animal. I also wonder if these are "kids" as we were. Young men, sometimes with dates, out for a quick thrill and meal, young in years perhaps, but "adult" enough to possibly be facing bullets themselves and I pray for them.

We are celebrating Independence Day this week, one of my "top four" holidays (Christmas and Easter, with Easter slightly ahead, and Thanksgiving).

Independence Day is a day for remembering our young people, present and gone. Without these young people and their willingness to show how much they love this country and their willingness to sacrifice for it, we would not be here.

Nor would many other countries be what they are today were it not for the Love and Courage of these loving individuals from the United States of America. Today these young Americans are again away from our shores, from their families and loved ones, engaged in a war for an unappreciative country.

And what are we doing here, in their Homeland, around their families?

We have opened a door, have allowed Satan to enter and set up house-keeping. Not only has he entered our hallowed corridors, he has invited seven of his best friends along for the ride.

Dissent accepted the invitation from his lord.

Discord also gladly accepted his invite.

Anger and Hatred were more than willing to join the party.

Rebelliousness E-mailed Satan with his acceptance letter.

On the way to pick up Impiety, Indifference drove the bus.

Together they joined their leader and entered the Hallowed Halls of America to wreak their vengeance upon its underpinnings.

As Christians, called by the Name of our Lord, we have allowed it to happen, have failed in our mission, have succumbed to the fantasies and follies, the lusts and pleasures, of this lascivious society.

Few are those who weep blood between the doorpost and altar in supplication for this Great Land. Fewer still are those who weep for those standing in Harm's way doing the will of our Father: to obey the laws of the land, its kings and rulers.

My plea to all this Fourth of July, this Independence Day, is that we surrender a parade, a picnic, a clan gathering, a day's wage, a day at the beach, and fall on our faces and seek the face of our God and BEG for His wondrous Mercy for those who proudly stand for what this Nation represents, plea for His Grace to once again fall upon this Land and again make us a mighty nation in His eyes, a weapon for His purpose, a tool for His use.

Most of all, let us cry for those who do not know or believe, that we may be His Light shining before them loudly and joyously proclaiming the Great and Glorious Day of our Lord that will soon befall this, and every, nation.

Let us hasten that Wondrous day of His beautiful return. And let no man, woman or child stand in our way as the Gospel of Jesus is proclaimed throughout this mighty nation.

Happy Independence Day, all. In Love and Freedom,
Bless God,

Shy

Beginnings

Beginnings. Hopes, dreams and aspirations. We all have them.
This being the beginning of my BLOG, I have hopes, dreams and aspirations for it. Some will be clear as we progress, others will be less clear and need defining. Some thoughts will be complete in themselves, others less so and will need clarification through progressive analysis. Regardless, progress will be made.
Some personal information: I'm a 60 year old male living in the woods up North with three dogs and a cat. My interests are too numerous to mention individually so a few will suffice.
I am first and foremost, a Basic Fundamental believer in God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I don't always live what I preach, but I try with varying degrees of success. I hunt and fish and, yes, I do eat what I gather. I enjoy the wilderness without getting carried away by environmentalist issues. I canoe and camp, often find myself lost in the Boundary Waters Wilderness just as I do i civilization. (Speaking of which, I am not fond of civilization, which is just another word for "going down hill". I find most "civilized" people to be pretentious and holier than thou, condescending and lazy, more interested in themselves than the honest common good. I find those kind of people to be more interested in saving a tree or fish or iceberg than in saving a human being. They are the kind of people more interested in a single world government ruling class than in helping a fellow man. Enough of them for now- much more will follow.) My favorite pastime is wandering with a camera. My profession is freelance photo-journalist since having an accident at work while employed as a carpenter, ending a 17 year career at building custom homes. I have been a television news/ENG photographer, a job I dearly loved and am attempting to carry on freelancing.
Maritally, I am single and have no serious prospects at this time though I am looking. That being said, I do have a wonderful Lady with whom I am corresponding on-line and feel deep affection for. So deep as to be "in love". I was married once many years ago and have often regretted that divorce but it was what she wanted and I have passed thinking or being hurt by our relationship. We had no children, which was a partial problem for us and an issue for a coming blog.
Officially, I don't really know what a blog is to be used for but look forward to learning and seeing just how far this "thing" can go.
My topics will be as varried as my interests, to say the least: from what I had for breakfast to the latest condemnation of the current Presidency.
Have I mentioned that I whole-heartedly support the Constitution of this Great Country? Every Amendment, every Freedom. What I do not support is the liberties too many are taking with its interpretation. Like the Bible, I believe the Constitution as written is exactly what the Framers had in mind, nothing more, nothing less. They wrote it in plain English. If you don't understand it, go to school, learn English and become an American.
After you become American, support the country, not your former land: Old Glory is to be waved from your windows and door, lamp posts and flag poles, NOT some flag from a dip-shit Third World country you came from.
With that, let us claim enough has been said for one eve. More follows. Just know one thing: I shoot to kill and take no prisoners.
