For once, I agree with the ACLU. I already have a national I.D. card: it's called a Birth Certificate (which the esteemed Dark Lord obviously does not). If Dickhead Durbin thinks he's going to make me carry another, he's got a big rude awakening coming.
It's not due to religious beliefs about the "mark of the Beast" that I object to this idea: the "mark" is on the forehead or the hand, not in a wallet and subject to loss.
What I object to is more encroachment upon my liberty, controlled more by an illegal government system.
All such an identification system will do is brand the millions of sheeple who agree with the Dark Lord and drive millions of others underground.
If Durbin, et al, are concerned with the wetback situation, then they can do more to protect our borders and enforcing the laws already on the books- such as Arizona is doing.
Speaking of Arizona: why the hell are Arizona, California, Illinois, or any other state, allowing illegals to stand in front of their capitol buildings, or any building, and protest our laws? Only Americans have the right to protest our government on our own soil.
These wetback shitheads have no Constitutional rights to anything, don't support the Constitution or agree with our laws in the first place. If they did, they'd not be here illegally, so screw them. What every state should do is round up these protesters, check every one for a birth certificate, and ship any without an American B-C to jail, in Guantanamo. Let them protest there. (Of course, I'd love to send all the "American" protesters to Guantanamo with them, but that's not the American Way.

There are Canadian wetbacks, French and Iraqi and German and... ad nausea "wetbacks"- and they all make me nauseous. So there is no "profiling" going on with any law regarding "illegal immigrants" except for checking their identification, then locking them up.)

ReplyDeleteWe've been willingly handing our rights over to "authorities" for so long that people are no longer alarmed or upset by anything required of them. I became one of the non-compliant when I began homeschooling our eldest 11 years ago. Guns and the right of gun ownership is somewhat new on my radar screen but I support our right to carry/own guns without another nanny state law that will only be followed by the law-abiding citizens of this great country and ignored by crooks and criminals.

The excuse "they take jobs Americans won't" is beyond believeable any more. The high school students around here can't even get any jobs at the restaurants to earn money for themselves or college. With rare exception the places to grab a bite on on my way to the freeway do not have a single non Spanish speaking person in them. It is a very influent area, heck I can barely afford to live here. They're not local, but brought in to work cheap and I don't buy that they are all citizens, but no one bothers to check.

Requiring US to get biometric I.D is going to stop an illegal from mowing lawns how?
ReplyDeleteI find it odd that the democraps suddenly embraced the idea AFTER passing their Orwellian healthcare.
Beginning this month in Ohio, the state will be issuing new I.D cards and machines at places where you'd buy smokes, beer, etc. When buying "age restricted" products, you will be required to swipe your I.D card for "age verification".
Those purchases will be tracked as with supermarket discount cards!
Need a heart transplant? Easy to access how much tobacco you bought over the years as part of the decision process!
Only a matter of time before guns and ammo are added to the card swipe tracker.
